Studies and evidence have shown that the practice of yoga offers many benefits; in fact, yoga has a powerful effect on the entire body and overall health and wellness. Not only does the practice of yoga increase endurance, strength and flexibility, yoga’s meditative and deep breathing techniques help with focus, relaxation, stress relief and much more.
With that in mind, we’ve got a terrific spring yoga opportunity that we are really excited about!
The Brain Energy Support Team (BEST) is partnering with the Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities (TACID) in Tacoma, Washington, to host a FREE introductory yoga class in May (see flyer below for details). The instructor will guide participants through the journey of learning about the practice and benefits of yoga and class instruction is designed to accommodate people with visible and invisible disabilities.
The class will be held at TACID on Wednesdays and Fridays for the entire month of May from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Room 21. TACID is located at 6315 S. 19th Street in Tacoma.
Equipment, water and a participant journal will be provided at no charge. Participants are also asked to wear loose and comfortable clothing to class.
No experience necessary.
We’d love to know that you are coming. Please email Mesa at mesa@tacid.org to reserve your spot in the class today or if you have any questions.
