At the Brain Energy Support Team (BEST), we are deeply proud to have the opportunity to serve the community and provide support and resources.

For the last thirty days, BEST has been able to participate in some really terrific events across the state of Washington to share our mission, vision and passion to help.

Here’s a mini-recap of what we’ve been up to. Click on the highlighted links to learn more.

  1. “Our BEST Brains” health and wellness workshop at Marlene’s Market and Deli in Federal Way, Washington 8/27: BEST Founder Penny Condoll, along with BEST Executive Director, Gloria Kraegel, were featured presenters in Marlene’s health and wellness classroom series. This BEST duo thoroughly enjoyed talking about the nutrition and brain health with a terrific group of students.
  2. The People First of Washington Convention (9/18-9/20) and the Spokane TBI Symposium (9/22): Condoll and Kraegel headed east to participate in two important events in Spokane to support the brain injury and disability communities. BEST thoroughly enjoyed and savored the great conversations and mutual support of their BEST friends in Eastern Washington.
  3. “Living a Healthy Life TA Conference 2015” (Living Well with Chronic Conditions Washington State, Tukwila, WA):  Our BEST Founder, Penny Condoll, was one of the featured speakers at this excellent conference. BEST was able to reconnect with old friends and connect with new ones.
  4. Pediatric TBI Conference 2015 at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington 9/26: BEST, along with our BEST friends, HeadStrong, participated in this important conference to identify, support and provide resources for youth with brain injury as they make their way forward in the world and into adulthood. This terrific conference gave us the opportunity to connect with caring organizations and medical professionals from all over the great Pacific Northwest.

Many thanks to all of the organizers of these wonderful events for including BEST. We are profoundly honored to help!
