Our BEST Superhero of the Month for September 2019 is a real-life Washington State superhero to many.
This superhero has been longtime support group facilitator, coach, mentor, dear friend and passionate supporter of the local brain injury community, especially in her own community of Grays Harbor County.
The Brain Energy Support Team (BEST) is delighted and honored to announce that Barb George has been named our BEST Superhero of the Month.
Here’s what her nominator had to say about her:
Barb George is a real-life community superhero in every sense of the word.
As a brain injury survivor, Barb is willing to share her story and offer encouragement, love, and caring to fellow survivors and their families. As a a dear friend to the Grays Harbor County community, Barb has lead the local brain injury support group for years, organized awareness, family, and resource events, and has been a champion of the local disability community. It’s Barb’s passion about her home community, and the people in it, that makes her such an effective leader, change-maker, mentor, coach, advocate and devoted friend.
Barb’s energy and passion are nothing short of awe inspiring to those who know her.
