It’s the superheroes behind the scenes that make all the difference. And one of those special superheroes is right in our midst.

Congratulations to Tamika Titus, our June 2019 BEST Superhero of the Month.

Tamika serves with the Traumatic Brain Injury Council as a Program Administrative Assistant, DSHS Staff. Her friendly, positive and helpful nature has made all the difference for the BEST Team and others. Her kindness and support are deeply appreciated; as a “helper to the helpers,” the brain injury community of Washington State is fortunate to have this real-life superhero.

Here’s what Tamika’s nominator had to say about her:

Tamika has been a rock through the changes in the TBI program at DSHS. Regardless of which program manager is in place, Tamika has always been there with a smile and words of encouragement as BEST navigates the changes and requirements of our contract with WA State. I’m nominating her because she not only brings professionalism to all of our encounters, but never fails to make me feel confident BEST is meeting the expectations of the TBI program at DSHS. I suspect part of her ability to stay steady during changing times may come, partially at least, from her military service. :-)

Congratulations to Tamika! We thank her for all that she does for our team and beyond.

Do you know a survivor, caregiver or community supporter who is putting the power in personal empowerment? Soaring to new heights? Doing cool things?  Bringing superhero-size support to the brain injury community?
